Project Manager · Project Lead · Business Analyst · Change Manager · Management Consultant
All candidates must be highly motivated and meet the following criteria:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, Project Lead, Business Analyst, Change Manager or Management Consultant on medium- and large-scale projects
- Demonstrated experience leading and/or working on high-performing teams
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed written, verbal and presentation skills
- Approach work in a detailed yet creative and flexible manner
- Must be goal oriented, results driven and client focused
Experience in any or all of the following would be considered an asset:
- Project management
- Strategic and operational business planning
- Business case and feasibility study development
- Governance and organizational design
- Change management and communications
- Business process mapping, analysis and re-engineering
- Requirements gathering and analysis
- Multi-stakeholder facilitation techniques and approaches
- ITIL Service Support and Delivery disciplines
- Application Development Lifecycle
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree such as Business Administration, Engineering, or Computer Science
- Relevant graduate level degrees will be considered assets
- Relevant industry certifications (i.e.: PMP, Prince 2, CBAP, CMC, Prosci, etc.) will be considered assets
Senior Java Developer
All candidates must be highly motivated and meet the following mandatory criteria:
- Recognized success leading and working on high-performing teams
- Proficiency with Object-Oriented (OO) development methodologies and Design Patterns
- Proven ability to work at varying levels of abstraction (architecture, system design, component design, code)
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing Web user interfaces (UI) for various types of applications
- Experience with assisting architects in the design of overall technical architecture blueprints
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed written, verbal and presentation skills
- Approach work in a detailed yet creative and flexible manner
The successful candidate will possess the following mandatory skills:
- Java JDK 1.4 and above
- J2EE knowledge, specifically with EJB, Spring, JPA (EclipseLink, Hibernate)
- JavaServer Faces (JSFs), JavaServer Pages (JSPs)
- Experience with Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA), SOAP, XML Messaging
- Experience using Ant as a build and configuration tool
- Database design experience and advanced SQL query development with comfort in Oracle, MS SQL Server, and/or MySQL environments
- Analysis and/or development experience in building Enterprise Java Applications (J2EE)
The following are considered “Nice-to-Have” but are not deemed mandatory:
- J2EE Application Server experience, preferably WebLogic, JBoss, and/or Tomcat
- Experience using a Java Integrated Development Environment (IDE), preferably Eclipse and/or Netbeans
- Linux experience
- Experience using source code repositories such as Subversion
Qualifications:
- Minimum undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required

Adobe LiveCycle Forms Designer/Developer
All candidates must be highly motivated and meet the following mandatory criteria:
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant project experience
- Ability to work at varying levels of abstraction (design mode, development, system design, component design, code)
- Ability to create dynamic forms and interact with web applications through the use of Web Services
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong oral and written communications skills
- Approaches work in a detailed yet creative manner
- Experience dealing with clients and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
The successful candidate will possess the following mandatory skills:
- Adobe LiveCycle ES 2.X and above
- Development experience using Adobe LiveCycle Workbench 2.X and above
- Form design experience using Adobe LiveCycle Designer 2.X and above
- JavaScript and/or other web scripting languages
- XML and XSD knowledge
The following are considered “Nice-to-Have” but are not deemed mandatory:

- SOAP, Adobe LiveCycle API Web Services
- Experience using source code repositories, such as Subversion
Qualifications:
- Minimum undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required

IT Architect
All candidates must be highly motivated and meet the following mandatory criteria:
- Minimum of three (3) years proven experience with one or more of the architecture disciplines
- Enterprise
- Data
- Technical
- Application
- Evaluation and selection of enterprise-based information technology solutions
- Design, construction, deployment and testing of specific technical components on projects within a variety of business settings
- Approach work in a detailed yet creative manner
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Goal, result and client-focused orientation
- Demonstrated ability to support and work closely with team members and clients
Qualifications:
- Proven experience designing, developing and implementing IT solutions
- Undergraduate degree from a post-secondary institution with focus in IT or Computer Science
- Relevant industry certifications will be considered assets
Candidates for Barrington’s international work are expected to travel up to 25% of their time. Previous experience in public sector service delivery or healthcare, exposure to developing countries and knowledge of additional languages would be considered assets for international work. For domestic work, travel commitments vary but are generally minimal.
